Pichu is one of the official Pokémon chat badges Twitch launched on August 24 together with The Pokémon Company International. It shows right next to your name in chat.
How to get the Pichu badge
The Pichu badge is free for everyone. Just visit a channel in a qualifying category and you immediately get your first Poké Ball. Watch 20 minutes on 3 different days and the ball opens to reveal the Pichu badge.
How it works
It's simple: you collect Poké Balls by watching. Each ball needs 20 minutes on 3 different days in a qualifying category (Pokémon, Just Chatting, DJs, Sports, Music or Art). The days don't have to be back to back and your progress tracks automatically. Once a ball is full it opens to reveal your badge. Evolutions are coming: evolved badges for Pichu and the starters are planned, and they'll evolve just from watching more. But only if you grab the base badge now, otherwise you can't earn the evolution later.
Availability: Pichu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle can be earned through October 1, 2026. After that they're gone.
