About Battle Chef Brigade
Battle Chef Brigade is a mix of side-scrolling brawler and tile-matching puzzle game by Trinket Studios, a team founded by former Wideload Games developers. It was originally published by Adult Swim Games and released on 20 November 2017 for Windows and Nintendo Switch. The project had raised more than 100,000 US dollars on Kickstarter in 2014.
The game is set in the fantasy land of Victusia, where warrior chefs hunt monsters and turn them into gourmet dishes. Two young cooks, Mina and Thrash, enter a contest to join the elite Brigade. Each round works like a cooking show: you fight monsters for ingredients, then combine them in a tile-matching puzzle to create a dish for the judges.
The game received generally favourable reviews, with Metacritic scores of 80 on PC and 81 on Switch, according to Wikipedia.
