Broken Age

Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure developed and published by Double Fine Productions and written and directed by Tim Schafer. It was funded through the Kickstarter campaign Double Fine Adventure in 2012, which raised more than 3.3 million US dollars from over 87,000 backers against a goal of 400,000. Act 1 was released on 28 January 2014, Act 2 on 28 April 2015. The game is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The story follows two teenagers in parallel. Vella Tartine escapes being sacrificed to a monster called a Mog, while Shay Volta believes he is alone on a spaceship. Their worlds turn out to be connected. Elijah Wood voices Shay and Masasa Moyo voices Vella, with Jack Black and Wil Wheaton in the supporting cast.

Act 1 was well received, while many critics found Act 2 weaker, as Wikipedia summarises.
