About Cult of the Lamb
Cult of the Lamb is a roguelike combined with a base-building management sim, developed by the Australian studio Massive Monster and published by Devolver Digital. It was released on 11 August 2022 for Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series X|S, and came to iOS through Apple Arcade in December 2025 (Wikipedia).
You play a lamb saved from sacrifice by an imprisoned god called The One Who Waits. In return, you build a cult in his name and take revenge on the four bishops who chained him. The game alternates between crusades through randomly generated dungeons and running your settlement: preaching sermons, holding rituals and keeping your followers fed and loyal.
Reviews were generally favourable and the game earned three BAFTA nominations. It sold one million copies in its first week and 7 million by April 2026. Several free updates followed, plus co-op in 2024 and the paid expansion Woolhaven in January 2026.
