About Detroit: Become Human
Detroit: Become Human is an interactive drama and adventure game developed by Quantic Dream, directed by David Cage and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on 25 May 2018 for PlayStation 4 and on 12 December 2019 for Windows (Wikipedia).
The story is set in Detroit in 2038, where androids have become part of everyday life. You follow three androids: Kara, a housekeeper who becomes self-aware and protects a young girl, Connor, a police investigator hunting deviant androids, and Markus, a caretaker who leads a movement for android rights. Dialogue choices and quick-time events branch the story, characters can die for good, and a flowchart shows which paths you took.
Critics praised the setting, visuals and performances, while some found its allegories heavy-handed. With about 15 million units sold by January 2026, it is Quantic Dream's most successful game.
