About Diablo IV
Diablo IV is an action role-playing game by Blizzard Entertainment, released in June 2023 for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is set in Sanctuary, 50 years after Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, where cultists have summoned Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto.
Unlike its predecessors, the game uses an open world of several regions that you can cross without loading screens and tackle in any order. It requires an online connection, and new seasons with their own story missions and a free battle pass arrive roughly every three months. According to Wikipedia, it was Blizzard's fastest selling game at launch, earning 666 million dollars in five days.
The expansion Vessel of Hatred followed in October 2024 with the Spiritborn class, and Lord of Hatred launched on 28 April 2026 and brought back the Paladin.
