About Enter the Gungeon
Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell roguelite by Dodge Roll, a studio founded by four former Mythic Entertainment developers, and published by Devolver Digital. It was released on 5 April 2016 for Windows, macOS, Linux and PlayStation 4, later also on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and in 2025 on mobile devices.
You lead one of several Gungeoneers through procedurally generated floors of the Gungeon in search of a legendary gun that can kill the past. Rooms full of enemies fire dense bullet patterns, the dodge roll is your main tool, and death means starting over from the first floor. A second player can join as the Cultist.
Free updates such as Supply Drop and A Farewell to Arms expanded the game. It sold over 3 million copies by 2020 according to Wikipedia. A 3D sequel, Enter the Gungeon 2, was announced in April 2025.
