Gray Zone Warfare is a tactical first-person shooter by the Czech studio MADFINGER Games, known for Shadowgun and Dead Trigger. It entered Early Access on Steam for Windows on 30 April 2024 and runs on Unreal Engine 5.
You play a contractor for a private military company on the fictional island of Lamang. According to Gaming Trend, the open world covers 42 square kilometres, with up to 48 players and 1,000 AI enemies per server and about 150 tasks. You can play solo or in squads of up to four, either purely against the AI or in a mode with player-versus-player combat.
The developer reported around 900,000 copies sold in the first month, as DSOGaming wrote. Development continues in Early Access.
