About John Carpenter's Toxic Commando
John Carpenter's Toxic Commando is a first-person co-op shooter developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. It was released on 12 March 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows and can be played solo or in a team.
The story starts with an experiment that tries to tap the energy of the Earth's core and accidentally wakes the Sludge God. It turns soil into scum and people into zombies, so the scientists responsible hire a group of mercenaries to clean up the mess and stop it. Director John Carpenter, known for Halloween and The Thing, was announced as a collaborator at Summer Game Fest in June 2023. He worked on the story and composed the score, as Wikipedia reports.
