About Lost Ark
Lost Ark is an action MMORPG for Windows developed by Smilegate RPG and Tripod Studio. Smilegate released it in South Korea on 4 December 2019, and Amazon Games published it in Europe and the Americas on 11 February 2022. Within a day of that Western launch it became the second most played game on Steam, peaking at over 1.3 million concurrent players, according to Wikipedia.
The game focuses on player versus environment content such as quests, dungeons, crafting and collecting, with some PvP on the side. You pick one of six base classes, such as Warrior, Mage or Gunner, and then an advanced class. Combat is fast and built around chaining skills into combos. After reaching level 50, raids and endgame dungeons open up, where progress depends mainly on gear score.
