About NTE: Neverness to Everness
Neverness to Everness, short NTE, is a free-to-play open-world action RPG by Hotta Studio, a Perfect World subsidiary based in Suzhou, and published by Perfect World Games. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it launched in China on 23 April 2026 and worldwide on 29 April 2026 for Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS. Steam and Epic Games Store versions followed in July 2026.
The game is set in Hethereau, a fictional modern city where supernatural anomalies are part of daily life. You play an Appraiser who investigates and contains them with Esper abilities. You run, climb, swim and drive customisable vehicles through the city and switch between a team of four characters in combat. Characters are obtained through a gacha system.
The launch was commercially strong, while reviews were mixed, with a Metacritic score of 73 for the PS5 version, according to Wikipedia.
