Okhlos: Omega

Okhlos: Omega is an action roguelike by the Argentine studio Coffee Powered Machine, published by Devolver Digital. It was released on 18 August 2016 for Windows, macOS and Linux. The Omega version on Steam adds a digital encyclopedia and a collection of prototypes.

The game is set in a version of ancient Greece ruled by the Olympian gods. After a deadly incident at the School of Athens, a philosopher turns against them and gathers an angry mob to bring them down. You steer the whole crowd at once, smash buildings, recruit citizens and fight your way through eight procedurally generated worlds, facing all twelve Olympians as bosses. Shops let you trade units for famous figures such as Aristotle or Heracles, and if your leader falls, another philosopher in the mob takes over. According to Wikipedia, the game was an Independent Games Festival 2015 entry.
