About PAYDAY 3
PAYDAY 3 is a cooperative first-person shooter developed by Starbreeze Studios at Overkill Software and originally published by Deep Silver, with Starbreeze now publishing it. It was released on 21 September 2023 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S and is the third game in the Payday heist series.
The game moves the action mainly to New York City in the 2020s, with heists shaped by modern surveillance and cryptocurrency. You plan and carry out robberies either quietly in stealth or loudly against the police. The crew brings back the original four, Dallas, Chains, Wolf and Hoxton, along with Payday 2 characters such as Joy and Jacket and the newcomer Pearl.
The launch was hit by server problems that made the online-only game nearly unplayable for days, and reviews were mixed. Sales stayed below expectations, as summarised by Wikipedia.
