About Pokémon Pokopia
Pokémon Pokopia is a life simulation and sandbox game developed by Game Freak together with Koei Tecmo's Omega Force and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It was released on 5 March 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 and supports single-player and multiplayer.
You play a Ditto that has taken human form in a post-apocalyptic version of the Kanto region, abandoned by humans and no longer fit for Pokémon to live in. By crafting, building and restoring habitats you attract Pokémon back. In return they teach Ditto new moves that open up more ways to shape the environment.
Critics praised its gameplay and look, and with 89 out of 100 it is the highest-rated Pokémon game on Metacritic. It sold 2.2 million units in its first four days and passed five million by August 2026, according to Wikipedia.
