Raiden V

Raiden V is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up developed by MOSS. It first came out on Xbox One in Japan on 25 February 2016 and worldwide on 11 May 2016. An expanded Director's Cut was released for PlayStation 4 and Windows in 2017, and a Nintendo Switch version followed on 25 July 2019 (Wikipedia).

It is the first Raiden game with a fully voiced story: humanity fights an invasion of alien Crystals, and the ending depends on how well you play. You pick one of three fighters with different power, defence and speed, and a shield bar lets your single ship absorb some hits. The Flash Point gauge raises your score multiplier for quick kills, and the online Cheer System lets players cheer each other on to charge a skill that clears enemy bullets.

Reviews were generally favourable, with Metacritic scores in the mid seventies on all platforms.
