Rift

Rift, originally titled Rift: Planes of Telara, is a fantasy MMORPG for Windows developed by Trion Worlds. It launched in March 2011, dropped its subscription in June 2013 to become free to play, and has been run by Gamigo since 2018 (Wikipedia).

The game is set in the world of Telara, where elemental planes collide and the dragon gods of the Blood Storm invade. You play one of the Ascended and fight for either the Guardians or the Defiant. The name comes from its signature feature: dynamic rifts that open across the world and spawn monsters, which players seal together and get rewarded for by contribution.

Characters choose one of five callings, Warrior, Cleric, Rogue, Mage and Primalist, and combine several souls (talent trees) into flexible builds. Expansions such as Storm Legion (2012), Nightmare Tide (2014), Starfall Prophecy (2016) and Celestial Storm (2017) extended the world.
