About Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a kart racing game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It was released on 25 September 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version following in December 2025 (Wikipedia).
Races run over three laps against up to eleven rivals, with drifting and air tricks for boosts. The signature feature is the Travel Ring: after the first lap, the leader chooses one of two portals that send the field into a different CrossWorld for the second lap before returning to the original track. Vehicles turn into boats and planes, and you can build your own machine from parts or ride Extreme Gear hoverboards.
The game offers Grand Prix, time trials, the team-based Race Park and online races for up to twelve players. Guest characters from Minecraft, SpongeBob, Pac-Man, Mega Man and others joined via DLC. It sold over one million copies by October 2025.
