About Teamfight Tactics
Teamfight Tactics is an auto battler by Riot Games, spun off from League of Legends and inspired by Dota Auto Chess. It launched on 26 June 2019 as a mode inside the League client for Windows and macOS, and a standalone app with cross play arrived on Android and iOS on 19 March 2020 (Wikipedia).
Eight players draft League champions, place them on a hexagonal board and watch the fights play out automatically. Combining copies upgrades units to two and three stars, shared traits unlock synergies, and saved gold earns interest. The game is reset regularly with new sets that change the champion pool and mechanics. Competitive play includes the Tactician's Crown world championship and the open entry TFT Open events: the 2025 Paris Open took place from 12 to 14 December 2025 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and was won by Huanmie (Inven Global).
