About Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a first-person co-op action game developed and published by Fatshark. It was released for Windows on 30 November 2022, for Xbox Series X/S on 4 October 2023 and for PlayStation 5 on 3 December 2024 (Wikipedia).
The game is set in the hive city of Tertium on the industrial world Atoma Prime. Four players take the roles of prisoners conscripted by the Inquisition to fight a Chaos uprising and a daemonic plague, battling large waves of enemies in melee and with firearms. Classes include Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn and Psyker, later joined by the Arbitrator, Hive Scum and Skitarii. Darktide is regarded as a spiritual successor to Fatshark's Vermintide series and follows a similar formula to Vermintide 2. Critics praised the combat but criticised loot and crafting (74 on Metacritic).
