About Z1: Battle Royale
Z1 Battle Royale is a battle royale game by Daybreak Game Company for Windows and PlayStation 4, in which up to 150 players fight until one is left. It began on 15 January 2015 in Steam Early Access as part of H1Z1, which Daybreak split in February 2016 into Just Survive and the battle royale King of the Kill (Wikipedia).
In October 2017 the subtitle was dropped and the game became H1Z1 again. It left Early Access as a free-to-play title on 28 February 2018, adding the vehicle mode Auto Royale, and reached PS4 in full on 7 August 2018. After a period with NantG Mobile it was renamed Z1 Battle Royale in March 2019, with an update that brought back many mechanics from an early 2017 build, and returned to Daybreak in April 2019. H1Z1 was an early esports battle royale: Fight for the Crown aired on The CW in 2017, and the H1Z1 Pro League was announced that October. The rise of PUBG and Fortnite cost it much of its player base.
