How to get the Clipped That Twitch Badge
Clipped That was a free global Twitch badge for creators in the Twitch DJ Program. How did you get it? Between 1 September 2026, 7 pm, and 16 September 2026, 8:59 am (CEST) you had to go live from the DJ Program, clip a moment from your own set, download that clip and share it on a social network. Twitch names 15 September as the deadline in its announcement; whoever had not done all of those steps by then did not get the badge. Watching a DJ stream, subscribing or clipping someone else's set did not count, and viewers could not earn it at all.
The badge came with a new feature. On 1 September 2026 Twitch switched on Clips for the DJ Program, which had not had them before because of the licensed music. Clips from a DJ set keep the DJ's voice, crowd noise and chat reactions but not the music itself, which is why sharing them outside Twitch became possible. Creators, editors and moderators of a DJ channel can clip, but the badge was reserved for the DJ Program creator who downloaded and shared a clip. Twitch pitched it as a way to promote the channel and get discovered by new listeners.
The DJ Program itself started in 2024 and lets DJs stream sets with licensed music while Twitch shares the revenue with the rights holders. Membership brings the permanent Twitch DJ badge, and in August 2026 the program handed out Volume Up as another limited badge.
