About Hunt: Showdown 1896
Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a first-person extraction shooter developed and published by Crytek. As Hunt: Showdown it entered Steam early access on 22 February 2018 and fully launched on PC on 27 August 2019, followed by Xbox One and PlayStation 4. On 15 August 2024 it was relaunched as Hunt: Showdown 1896 on a new engine version for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The game is set in late 19th century America in a world full of monsters. In the main Bounty Hunt mode you and up to eleven other players track down a boss using clues, kill it, claim the bounty and try to reach an extraction point while rival hunters try to take it from you. Soul Survivor is a shorter solo mode, and Bounty Clash, added in October 2024, focuses on a single compound, as Wikipedia describes.
