What makes it notable is who is behind it: not Roblox, but the independent Studio Koi Koi. Roblox retired its official egg hunts in 2020 — this one bills itself as the spiritual successor to Egg Hunt 2018: The Great Yolktales and was funded through Kickstarter. It launches on 29 July 2026, runs into late August, and chapter one is free to play.
