The Bulbasaur Twitch Chat Badge
Bulbasaur is one of the official Pokémon chat badges Twitch launched on August 24 together with The Pokémon Company International. It shows right next to your name in chat.
How to get the Bulbasaur badge
The Bulbasaur badge is a paid badge. You unlock it with a sub: subscribe or gift a Tier 1 sub to a channel in a qualifying category and watch 20 minutes on 3 different days. Your Poké Ball then opens and reveals one of the three Kanto first-partner Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. With 3 subscriptions you're guaranteed all three (no duplicates).
How it works
It's simple: you collect Poké Balls by watching. Each ball needs 20 minutes on 3 different days in a qualifying category (Pokémon, Just Chatting, DJs, Sports, Music or Art). The days don't have to be back to back and your progress tracks automatically. Once a ball is full it opens to reveal your badge. Full details are in the official Twitch blog post about the Pokémon chat badges.
Evolutions are coming: evolved badges for Pichu and the starters are planned, and they'll evolve just from watching more. But only if you grab the base badge now, otherwise you can't earn the evolution later.
Availability: Pichu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle can be earned through October 1, 2026. After that they're gone.
The other Pokémon badges: Pichu, Squirtle, Charmander.
